The House of Commons has resumed its Parliamentary Session. On September 15th, 2023 MP Serré was re-appointed as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Official Languages, the Honourable Randy Boissonnault, and appointed as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson. His work continues to advance the priorities set forth by Nickel Belt constituents. Find out what else took place in September.

Community and Parliamentary Engagements
- MP Serré attended the grand opening of the Elmwood a 55 unit affordable seniors building in Coniston
- MP Serré attended the Robinson Huron Treaty Renewal Ceremony with the Honourable Gary Anandasangaree, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations
- MP Serré attended the Fridays for Future youth climate strike in Greater Sudbury
- MP Serré took part in an announcement concerning Romania and Canada’s nuclear energy advancement with CANDU technology
- MP Serré participated in various Franco-Ontarian day activities including a funding announcement with Minister Boissonnault and stakeholders
- MP Serré made a declaration in the House of Commons to recognize francophone organizations and to celebrate the municipality of Markstay-Warren’s recent designation as a bilingual community on Franco-Ontarian Day
- MP Serré met with l’Alliance des femmes de la francophonie canadienne
MP Serré continues to meet with the municipality of Espanola and stakeholders to keep the pulse on the DOMTAR closure
- MP Serré attended Ukrainian Prime Minister Zelensky’s speech in the House of Commons

- MP Serré continues to meet with staff in his constituency offices, residents, stakeholders, municipal leaders, Indigenous communities, non-profit organizations, local entrepreneurs and more, to take the pulse of the priorities of the region.

Special opportunity – get your art featured!
- Every year, constituents are sent a holiday greeting calendar from MP Serré. The mail out also includes important dates, a list of services for constituents, a list of recognized days and holidays, pictures of various community events, vital contact information, and more.
- This year, MP Serré would like to give the opportunity for someone to feature their art on the cover of the calendar. Interested individuals can submit their holiday themed artwork (photograph, drawing, or picture of a painting).
- Once the submission period has ended a draw will be made to choose the artwork that will be showcased.
- Submissions are being accepted until October 20th, 2023 at 4pm and should be sent to [email protected].
