Quote

“I am both humbled and grateful to have been presented with these 2 appointments and would like to thank the Prime Minister for his confidence. I look forward to working alongside both my Honourable colleagues, Ministers Wilkinson and Boissonnault, the entire cabinet and all members of Parliament. I accept the responsibilities that come with the work ahead and am very much up to the task. During our recent caucus retreat, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau emphasized our government’s commitment to addressing the affordability crisis. It accentuates the work we’ve been doing specifically on the housing file to make life better for Canadians and further builds upon our National Housing strategy. Additionally, the news on the GST removal for rental constructions, the extension of CEBA loans for small businesses, the pressure on grocery chains to reduce costs, and the reviewal to strengthen the Canadian Competition Act, amongst other things, leaves us in an optimistic place as the House returns to session – and this is just a start for more measures to come. As always, the lines of communication remain open to all my constituents, and I look forward to our collaborative work together.”– Marc G. Serré, MP for Nickel Belt and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Natural Ressources and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Official Languages
