MP Serré highlights 2024 Celebrate Canada funding in Nickel Belt

NICKEL BELT – GREATER SUDBURY - Today, Marc G. Serré, Member of Parliament for Nickel Belt, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Official Languages announced financial support of $21,340 benefitting 4 Canada Day events in the riding. He made this announcement on behalf of the minister of Canadian Heritage, Pascale St-Onge.

This funding is part of the Celebrate Canada program, which supports ethnocultural, linguistic, artistic, and regional diversity that makes Canada an inclusive country that so many are proud to call home. These celebrations create opportunities for exchanges and connections between people and communities. They foster feelings of inclusion, openness, and national pride.

This year’s funding amount add itself to over $135,000 invested through the Celebrate Canada program in Nickel Belt since 2015.
