NICKEL BELT – GREATER SUDBURY - With so much turmoil and uncertainty globally, the future of Northern Ontario is at stake. The people of Nickel Belt, Greater Sudbury and Northern Ontario deserve a government that prioritizes jobs, economic stability, and the prosperity of our communities. Now more than ever, we need strong leadership to navigate the challenges ahead.

With the recent leadership election of our interim Prime Minister Mark Carney, a globally respected economist, under his leadership, we have a real opportunity to take Northern Ontario to new heights. His vision for Canada aligns with the needs of working families, small businesses, and the key industries that drive our region. Together, we will invest in green technologies, sustainable mining, and innovation—ensuring we grow our economy while protecting our environment.

As your Member of Parliament, I have always worked to deliver real results. Since being elected in 2015, I’ve fought for our region, securing millions in federal investments for infrastructure, supporting small businesses, and advocating for better services for Franco-Ontarians, Indigenous communities, and families across our riding. Our economy has grown stronger, our communities have received critical funding, and we’ve laid the foundation for future success. But there is still more to do.

Northern Ontario’s economy faces increasing pressures from global trade disruptions, including unprovoked and unjustified tariffs imposed by President Trump. Our industries—forestry, mining, and manufacturing—need a government that will stand up for them. Under Mark Carney’s leadership, we will:

We need a government that puts people first, stands up for Northern Ontario, and is ready to lead us into a stronger future. I am confident that Mark Carney has the experience, emotional intelligence, and strong negotiation skills to weather the current political climate.

I am proud to stand with Mark Carney. Together, we will continue to build a Northern Ontario where families can thrive, businesses can grow, and communities can prosper.
