Today Marc G. Serré, MP for Nickel Belt, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Official Languages is sharing that the employers application period for the Canada Summer Jobs Program (CSJ) is now open.
CSJ provides wage subsidies to employers from not-for-profit organizations and the public sector, as well as private sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees, to create quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years.
The CSJ program objectives align with the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy and are as follows:
Since 2015 $965k in CSJ funding has helped create 293 quality job opportunities for youth through 102 unique employers in Nickel Belt.
