Nickel Belt – Greater Sudbury- October 19^th 2023- Today, Marc G. Serré, Member of Parliament for Nickel Belt, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Official Languages and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources is sharing a call for proposals under the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS) Program of Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).

Funds are available for organizations to help young people, especially those facing barriers to employment, gain the skills and work experience they need for a successful transition to the labour market. There will be an additional emphasis on supporting projects that target youth with disabilities.

Eligible organizations are invited to apply for funding from now until November 22, 2023.

Additional funding opportunities will be available this fall for organizations that provide volunteer and summer job opportunities for youth through the Canada Service Corps and Canada Summer Jobs.

Organizations can sign up for email notifications if they wish to be notified when ESDC funding opportunities become available.
