NICKEL BELT – GREATER SUDBURY - Today, Marc G. Serré MP for Nickel Belt and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Official Languages announced $3,791 in support of Field Good Farms in Cache Bay, Ontario. This funding is being allocated through the Youth Employment and Skills Program (YESP).
Field Good Farms will use this funding to provide employment opportunities for local youth, offering them a valuable hands-on experience in the agricultural sector. The grant will also enable the farm to expand their sustainable operations and continue contributing to the local economy.
The YESP is a national initiative designed to provide a wide range of opportunities to youth, particularly those facing barriers to employment. This programs funds projects by providing matched funds in order for the organization to create youth positions. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is one of several Government of Canada departments participating in the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy.
