Today, Marc G. Serré, Member of Parliament for Nickel Belt and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Official Languages shared that the Youth Innovation Component of the Enabling Accessibility Fund (EAF) is looking for Youth Accessibility Leaders (YAL).

Young people between the ages of 15 and 30 are encouraged to apply to become a YAL by October 10^th 2023.

YALs will volunteer time to:

• create greater awareness about accessibility needs
• encourage organizations to apply for EAF funding to address existing accessibility barriers, and
• build a more inclusive and accessible Canada

EAF funds support the construction or retrofitting of infrastructure such as ramps, accessible doors, accessible washrooms, elevators, lifts, pool lifts, multi-sensory rooms/stations, accessible playgrounds, etc.
