Nickel Belt – Greater Sudbury- July 11th 2023 - Today, Marc G. Serré, Member of Parliament for Nickel Belt and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Official Languages is announcing the official opening of the Housing Accelerator Fund’s (HAF) application portal.

The HAF is a $4 billion initiative that will provide funding to cities, towns, and Indigenous governments to develop innovative measures to unlock new housing supply and fast-track the creation of 100,000 new homes across Canada including in Nickel Belt – Greater Sudbury.

Building more affordable housing is a key part of building an economy that works for all Canadians.

Applications are accepted until Friday, August 18^th, 2023.

Local governments are encouraged to visit the HAF web page to access pre-application resources, including a step-by-step application guide. A CMHC representative will also be available for any assistance they need with the application process.
