MP Serré shares that public engagement is requested to help draft Canada’s first National Adaption Strategy.
People living in Canada are already witnessing and experiencing devastating impacts of climate change. Canada’s climate is warming two times faster than the global average, and three times faster in the North. Across the country, the impacts of climate change are already affecting our communities, economy and environment.
The National Adaptation Strategy will advance a shared vision for climate resilience in Canada that will be based on high-level principles and focused objectives.
This engagement initiative will run from May to July 2022. During this time, Canadians will be consulted on specific, measurable and achievable short-term action to support long-term transformational goals and medium-term objectives identified in the adaptation priority sections listed below and on this discussion paper.
Please go to National Adaptation Strategy (letstalkadaptation.ca) to engage in the conversation.
