MP Serré invites Nickel Belt constituents to submit written briefs to the Status of Women Committee’s study on resource development and violence against Indigenous women and girls.
The Committee will be examining the relationship between resource development and the rise in violence against Indigenous women and girls in Canada, in accordance with Calls for Justice‑13.4 and 13.5 of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
Those wanting to submit a written brief anonymously or do not want a brief to be made public can inform the Clerk of the Committee at [email protected], and the necessary arrangements will be made.
The deadline for the Committee to receive written briefs from the public, in either official language, is Monday, May 9, 2022. Briefs should not exceed two pages (approximately 1,000 words) and should be emailed to the Clerk of the Committee at [email protected] or submitted online through the Committee’s website.
