MP Serré shares that the Addressing Racism and Discrimination in Canada’s Health Systems Program is accepting calls for proposals
April 11, 2022

MP Serré announces that the Addressing Racism and Discrimination in Canada’s Health Systems Program is now accepting call for proposals until May 15th, 2022. This program seeks to address systemic anti-Indigenous racism and/or discrimination in Canada health systems by supporting projects that improve equitable access to health services for racialized and marginalized populations.

Priority is given to projects that seek to:

  1. Develop and implement cultural safety and humility training, curriculum, and/or accreditation requirements for health services providers (Health Human Resources), including administrators; and,
  2. Integrate culturally safe care in acute care settings and traditional approaches to health.

Eligible organizations such as Indigenous governments and organizations, health system service providers and associations, educational/academic institutions, and not-for-profit organizations are encouraged to apply without delay.
