This month, MP Serré announced funding for several projects that will help strengthen Nickel Belt – Greater Sudbury’s culture and economy. As Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Official Languages and a proud Francophone, MP Serré echoed the resounding positive reception by local stakeholders and residents concerning the Modernization of the Official Languages Act – a much anticipated amendment during Francophonie month in Canada!
MP Serré remains committed to his constituents and will continue to advocate for what matters to them.

- MP Serré participated in various caucus and committee meetings including the National, Indigenous, Natural Resources and Status of Women committees, Joint Interparliamentary Council (JIC)
- MP Serré continued his Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Official Languages functions and duties to protect and advance minority languages in the country
- MP Serré facilitated a roundtable with the Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Minister of Housing and Diversity and Inclusion and local building developers to address affordable housing projects in Nickel Belt – Greater Sudbury
- Marc continues to meet with his Constituency Office staff, residents, stakeholders, municipal leaders, Indigenous communities, not-for-profit, local entrepreneurs and more, to keep the pulse on the priorities in the region
- Marc continues his role as Chair of the Canadian Section of ParlAmericas
- Marc spoke to Mayor of St.-Charles Paul Schoppmann to keep the pulse on local priorities
- Marc met with Meredith Armstrong Director of Economic Development, and Alex Ross Business Development Officer from the City of Greater Sudbury to discuss the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Project
- Marc toured l'École publique de la Rivière-des-Français and discussed the development of the French River Youth, Economic and Community Development Centre with Marc Gauthier, Director of Education, Alain Noël and Carole Dube
- Marc toured la Place des Arts, a vibrant community hub, with Executive Director Leo Therrien and President, Alain Richard, ahead of their opening at the end of April 2022
- Marc met with Patty MacDonald CEO of the Sudbury-Manitoulin Canadian Mental Health Association regarding challenges and opportunities
- Marc with David Ewing Vice President, Sustainability and External Affairs of Frontier Lithium- Frontier Lithium’s office is located and Val Caron and their exploration sites are is in Northwestern Ontario
- Marc participated in a virtual event hosted by Assemblée de la francophonie de l'Ontario regarding immigration, culture, the modernization of the Official Languages Act, and education from a Francophone and rural lens
- Marc met with Craig Brockwell, Director of Stakeholder Relations Canadian Apprenticeship Service & Support Ontario Youth
- Marc met with Katie Morin, Chair of the Board of Directors, Sudbury Action Centre for Youth
