Have you heard the news? Our Val Caron constituency office has moved to serve you better. As of February 3^rd, 2020, regular business hours have resumed at our new space at 2914 Hwy 69, North unit 5 in Val Caron, P3N 1E3. Staff at the constituency office can help residents navigate the many Federal government departments.

Here’s a look at what else took place in January:

Important news from the Hill:

• Liberal Caucus met to discuss the upcoming session
• Winter Parliamentary session resumed on January 27^th, 2020 with MP Serré returning to the House of Commons to be your voice and represent what matters to you
• The Canadian Government announced it’s $63 million-dollar commitment to support Ontario’s French University
• The Government held consultations on medical assistance in dying eligibility criteria and request process
• On January 28^th the Canadian government passed the “Ways and Means” motion, a critical step in the ratification of the new NAFTA
• Pre-Budget consultations for Budget 2020 are ongoing for citizens to share their ideas

MP Serré participated in various meetings and community events:

• MP Serré met with constituent Lionel Rudd to discuss road safety in Northern Ontario and ways to reduce fatalities
• MP Serré met with constituent Dan Boulard to hear his concerns about Métis designation in Ontario
